The European Patients’ Forum (EPF) welcomes you to their virtual Congress 2021, taking place 26-29 October.
EPF, alongside MCI Benelux SA (registration & events manager), are committed to providing a safe and productive virtual event where everyone can take part in an inclusive, respectful way.
On registering for the event, participants, including contributors, enter into an agreement with EPF and MCI. By registering to the Congress, you are indicating your acceptance to the terms and conditions set out below.
n the interests of productive, fruitful and open participation, we expect our participants and collaborators to show respect and courtesy to others throughout the event and upon all platforms utilised.
The following forms of conduct will not be tolerated:
Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form related to gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, age, experience, or other features.
Use of hateful, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or violent language.
Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images.
Unwelcome or uninvited attention or contact with another participant.
Expressed or implied threat of physical or professional harm.
Harassing photography or unauthorised recording.
Sustained disruption of presentations, sessions, or other parts of the event.
Promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services in presentations or public spaces.
Use of misleading, dishonest and inaccurate information.
Unauthorized copy or screen shot of presentations, Q&A, or chat room activity that takes place in the virtual space. All content is the property of the author(s). Permission for reuse is mandatorily required.
Intentional hacking or disabling of the platforms.
EPF will act and disqualify immediately those who behave in an inappropriate manner and will restrict attendance to future EPF events.

2. Data Privacy & Security
Registration or participation to the EPF Congress 2021 and other activities constitutes an agreement by the participant to consent to the organisations’ use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the participants’ image or voice in marketing materials, photographs, videotapes, electronic or digital reproductions, website content, and audiotapes of such events and activities and to waive any right to compensation or remuneration for the use of such images or voice recordings.
The European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) entered into force as of 25 May 2018 and it involves some additions to data protection.
The participant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge damage claims against the organisers should the holding of the event be hindered or prevented by unexpected political or economic events or generally by force majeure, orforce majeure or should the non-appearance of speakers or other reasons necessitate programme changes. With registration, the participant accepts this proviso.
4. Governing Law
Any dispute resulting from the above terms and conditions will be subject to Belgium law, and by accepting these terms you are submitting yourself to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Belgium.
