As Director General of the Association of the European Self-Care Industry (AESGP), Jurate Svarcaite leads with strategic vision and operational excellence. She drives the organisation’s mission to represent Europe’s self-care sector—including manufacturers of non-prescription medicines, food supplements, and self-care medical devices—across international, European, and national platforms. Her role encompasses high-level stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, and the day-to-day management of AESGP’s diverse initiatives and partnerships.

Jurate brings a wealth of experience from her previous leadership roles, including serving as Secretary General of the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union (PGEU), where she championed community pharmacy across Europe. Earlier in her career, she headed the Pharmaceutical Care Department at one of Lithuania’s leading pharmacy chains, shaping patient-centred care strategies.

She holds a Master of Pharmacy degree from Kaunas University of Medicine and a Master of Science in Pharmacy Practice from the School of Pharmacy, University of London—credentials that reflect her deep commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation and collaboration.
